Pattern Play, Day 3 also

Nichol Magouirk suggestion was to use vellum over bold patterns.  I used vellum over the pattern paper to mute it.  It's been awhile since I've used vellum and I'm glad I brought it back out.
Paper:  Indie Bloom/Basic Grey; Kraft/Papertrey Ink; vellum from statch
Stamps:  Natural Beauties/Papertrey Ink; Bountiful Banners/Papertrey Ink
Ink:  Pale Tomato, Red Royal, Field Greens, Butter Bar/Hero Arts Shadow-Mid-tone; Archival ink/Ranger
Die:  Fish Tail Flag Stax/MFT
Pearls Rhinestones/Recollections
Uni-ball Signo White pen

Pattern Play, Day 3

Day 3 was using pattern paper with too much patterns.  Papers you like, but feel are too busy or big to use comfortably.  Kristina Werner's tip of breaking up really large patterns to take center stage and using very simple things otherwise was great.  I really like this card!
Paper:  Pretty Party/Crate Paper; Hawaiian shores,Vintage Cream, Kraft/Papertrey Ink
Stamp:  On Edge/Simon Says
Ink:  Gathered figs/Distress Ink; Archival Ink/Ranger

Pattern Play, Day 2

Oh, this was fun!  I used Jennifer's technique of resist on patterned paper.  I ironed off the embossing and liked it even better.
Paper:  My Mind's Eye/Reunion; Neenah
Stamp:  Large Fabric Design/Hero Arts; You/Simon Says
Ink:  Distress Ink/gathered figs; Ranger Archival Ink/Jet Black
Embellishment:  Prima Flowers

Pattern Play, Day 1

I used the large/medium/small formula for combining pattern papers.  The large pattern paper was minimumized by use the die cut.  The stripe was layered.  I tried to use all the ideas.  This was fun!
Paper:  My Mind's Eye/Blink of an Eye; PTI Cream; Kraft
Stamp:  Apothecary Labels/Simon Says
Dies:  Apothecary Labels/Simon Says; Trellis Border/Memory Box
Ink:  Ranger Archival Ink (Sepia)

Clean & Simple 2 online class

I'm trying to get the nack of cards that are clean and simple.  I made this one-layer card and feel ok about it.  I had a hard time getting the squares straight.  After several trys, I found I had the best luck with the Fiskars Stamp press.

Stamps:  Square prints/Paper Trey Inks;  (heart) Better with you/Verve; (sentiment) Thinking of you/Hero Arts
Ink:  Pool/Hero Arts; Onyx Black/VersaFine; Rhubarb Stalk/Memento
Paper:  Neenah solar white
Glossy Accents/Ranger

Travel Book

Travel Book
I love the word books. I used s.e.i "Black Orchid" papers and some of the matching embellishments. After a road trip this summer, this book will be filled with memories. I had so much fun working on this. I think the papers inspired me. I just love them.
